Safety Management

The Aviatize Safety Management System allows you to keep track of all occurrences and hazards. Whenever a member of your team submits an incident report, it can be anonymized and the Safety Manager will be notified. The Safety Management System also consists of root cause analysis, consequence listing, and consequence mitigation. This ensures you can identify the root of the issues faster and get back to what’s important, flying. The Aviatize SMS module is in line with the ECCAIRS protocol. ECCAIRS is a digital platform established to assist aviation stakeholders in collecting, sharing, and analyzing their safety aviation information. ECCAIRS stands for the European Coordination Centre for Accident and Incident Reporting Systems.

Reporting an occurrence

When reporting an occurrence you can fill in a standardized form asking you a couple of questions:

Is the reporting of this occurrence mandatory
What is the type of occurrence report
When did the occurrence occur
Describe the occurrence
Damage report on aircraft and third party
Were there any injuries?
What was the worst possible consequence?

After the user reported the occurrence, the safety manager will get a notification.

Mitigation

Allowing other users to propose mitigations provides real learning opportunities for the team. The assigned user proposes a mitigation with a description, cost, time frame, and a final risk level index. The safety manager can then reject or accept the mitigation.

Each mitigation action is then becoming an action that needs to be implemented before the indicated due date. The task is added to the dashboard of the assigned user.
